As an author in my own right, I have written and co-written a dozen books, as well my short stories and essays having appeared in a number of anthologies and collections. I have written novels, novellas, memoirs and general non-fiction. In 2001, my short story Rings was chosen as the opening piece in that year’s Best British Short Stories anthology. In 2025, it was included in the production Seasons of Yearning: Best of British Short Stories 2011-2025 where it was read by the actor Harry Lloyd. I am currently working on a new novel.
